Problem:
Not paying attention to the order of play leads to wasted time.
Solution:
- While others are hitting you should be mentally preparing, choosing your club and type of shot.
- When it’s your turn you should be immediately ready to take your shot.
- Be strategic: How can I get to my ball and be ready in time?
Problem:
Distracting a playing partner delays the game. They either hit a bad shot, or they are forced to restart their routine.
Solution:
- Once a player begins his routine, don’t make any noises, and don’t move. Ears are very sensitive.
- Don’t stand directly behind someone. If they requested help sighting their ball, make sure to stand perfectly still.
- Don’t stand anywhere on someone’s putting line. Peripheral vision is very keen. Stand to the side and remain still.
